Marine-first propulsion strategy

Electric and hybrid repowering for vessels worth saving.

EMP Propulsion is being developed to help owners of valuable boats and marine assets evaluate practical electric and hybrid repowering opportunities. The initial market focus is marine, with later expansion into aviation development and other propulsion opportunities.

Designed for real vessels and real retrofit decisions. Battery-electric and hybrid approaches for different marine missions.

Core marine offerings

Two propulsion paths.
One practical goal.

EMP Propulsion is intended to match the propulsion strategy to the vessel's real mission profile. Some boats may be excellent candidates for battery-electric repowering. Others may require a hybrid solution tailored to more demanding operating profiles.

⚡

Battery-electric marine repowering

Best suited to applications where operating range, shore charging access, speed expectations, and vessel weight make full electrification practical. Ideal use cases may include lake boats, marina-based vessels, quiet cruising applications, and mission profiles with predictable operating windows.

⛽

Hybrid marine repowering

For larger vessels, EMP plans to evaluate custom hybrid repowering solutions designed around mission requirements, operational flexibility, and long-duration performance. Specific system configurations will be discussed only through appropriate private technical and commercial channels.

Purpose-built marine solutions

The right propulsion solution for the vessel.

EMP's planned approach begins with vessel-specific needs rather than publishing a standard conversion recipe. Engineering configurations, supplier selections, and detailed system designs will be developed privately with qualified partners.

1

Mission requirements

Define vessel use, operating conditions, desired performance, and endurance targets.

2

Feasibility

Evaluate technical practicality, installation constraints, and project economics.

3

Confidential development

Advance detailed system planning with suitable investors, suppliers, and engineering collaborators.

Planned service process

Start with consultation.
Advance only when the numbers make sense.

The company is being built around a service model rather than a one-size-fits-all product catalog. Each potential vessel begins with a technical and economic discussion.

01

Initial consultation

Review the vessel, duty cycle, propulsion expectations, charging environment, and owner goals.

02

System evaluation

Assess the most suitable propulsion approach based on mission requirements and project feasibility.

03

Integration planning

Develop a confidential integration plan with appropriate performance, installation, and commercial requirements.

04

Installation pathway

Move toward an installation plan only after scope, budget, and expected mission performance are understood.

Likely application types

Different vessels need different answers.

EMP Propulsion is being framed to serve a range of marine needs, from lake boats to larger yachts and working vessels.

Discuss a concept vessel ↗
Lake and marina boats — likely candidates for battery-electric propulsion where charging access and modest range demands align.
Larger recreational vessels — potential candidates for tailored hybrid repowering where endurance, power demand, or vessel size warrant further evaluation.
Vessels with failed or uneconomical engines — valuable assets that may deserve repowering instead of abandonment or salvage.
Future pathways — aviation development and other specialized electric propulsion opportunities remain part of ElectroMotivePower's longer-term vision.
Current contact strategy

Start the conversation without pretending the shop is open yet.

This page is part of an investor-stage prototype. ElectroMotivePower is not yet accepting public retrofit work, but the site can begin gathering serious conversations from investors, partners, suppliers, and future customers.
